Known gang members arrested after shots fired in park

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Two known gang members are facing charges after an incident in Victory Park in west Louisville, according to police.

Just before 5 p.m. Thursday, detectives responded to a report of a shots fired in the park where a large group of individuals had guns. An arrest report says, a detective observed Norman Dwight Parker, 30, place a handgun in an abandoned car in an attempt to conceal evidence. The report says Parker is also known as "Pooh" or "Pooh Man." Parker has been convicted multiple time on gun and drug charges and served seven years behind bard after a federal conviction.

While at the park, a detective witnessed Norman Bradley Williams, 23, take two guns from his waistband and place them in the grass. Williams then said, "I'm not getting shot again," according to an arrest report. Police said Williams was involved in a shooting in April. He currently has two violent criminal cases pending in court.

Parker is charged with possession of a defaced firearm and tampering with physical evidence. Williams is charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon and tampering with physical evidence.
