CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Cincinnati Zoo! The zoo flipped the switch on Friday evening, illuminating over 2 million LED lights across the grounds.
Friday night's lighting ceremony was reserved for zoo members only. Pass holders joined special guest Drew Lachey and the Lachey Arts as they helped Santa light the tree to kick off the PNC Festival of Lights.
The PNC Festival of Lights has been a family holiday tradition for over 30 years and is the largest light display in Cincinnati.
The much anticipated Festival of Lights will open to the public on Saturday afternoon.
The zoo will be open to the public on Saturday and run through January 4. The zoo will be open Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. through 9 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, the zoo will be open from 5 p.m. through 10 p.m.
