Two people seriously injured in Guerley Rd. crash

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati police responded to 4501 Guerley Rd. to investigate a serious injuring traffic crash on Saturday night.

Latria Thompson, 24-years-old, was driving north on Guerley Rd in a 2011 Chevrolet when she failed to maintain control of the vehicle and struck a pole.

Thompson was trapped inside her vehicle and had to be extricated by the Cincinnati Fire Department. She was transferred to UC Medical Center with significant injuries and is listed in serious condition.

Brittany Troutman, 24-years-old, was Thompson's front seat passenger. Troutman was also trapped inside the vehicle and extricated by the Cincinnati Fire Department. Troutman was transferred to UC Medical Center with serious injuries.

Police say no one was wearing their seat beat. Alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the crash.

The Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate and asks any witnesses of the crash to contact the Cincinnati PD's Traffic Unit at 513-352-2514.
