CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati-based artist Annie Ruth has been given the opportunity to travel to Kenya to share the ministry of art.
Ruth hopes the children at the orphanages and schools in Kenya will be excited that she has come from the other side of the world to work with them.
Ruth will be leaving January 15 and will return on February 5.
During her time in Kenya, Ruth has a few goals to meet:
- Orphanage and school visits to youth in Kenya
- Completing artistic projects that connect faith and creativity
- Leaving art supplies and curriculum to enhance the learning environment
The children don't typically get to enjoy art and music in school. Ruth has partnered with Helping Hands for the Nation, Inc to bring the children art supplies.
