CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Mayor-elect John Cranley introduced Willie Carden, currently the director of Cincinnati Parks, as the next Cincinnati city manager on Wednesday.

Cranley held a press conference at Krohn Conservatory to make the announcement. Prior to the event, he tweeted about Carden, in part, "As we all know, he will be great!"

Two weeks ago, Cranley announced the resignation of former City Manager Milton Dohoney during an impromptu press conference. As part of the deal, Dohoney will receive one year of severance pay which totals more than $250,000.

Cranley and nine city council members will be sworn in on Sunday, Dec. 1.
