The Hamilton County Coroner's Office has identified the
50-year-old man killed in a large North College Hill apartment fire on November
Fire crews were called to the 1500 block of West Galbraith Road
around 4:35 p.m. on November 29.
Crews arriving on the scene reported heavy smoke coming from the
third floor of the three-story building. High heat and deteriorating conditions

Fire crews say that the first two floors of the building had

search, firefighters found a male victim deceased on the third floor.
Firefighters say that the apartment sustained heavy fire and structural damage.
The victim has been identified as 50-year-old Tony Davis, a
resident of the building. The Hamilton County Coroner says Davis succumbed to
injuries sustained in the fire. However, the coroner has not released an exact
cause of death as they continue to perform forensic testing.
The remaining areas of the floor were searched without any
additional victims found.
Of the 24 units in the apartment, crews say that several third
floor apartments sustained heavy fire damage. The remaining apartments suffered
heavy smoke and water damage. Tenants displaced by the fire were assisted by
the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is remains under investigation. Arson
investigators and the North College Hill Police Department are a leading the
