One lane on northbound 75 near Liberty Way closed down Saturday afternoon due to a police chase that started at Northgate Mall. 

Authorities say Paula Harrington, 47, of Dayton ran over an officers foot with her vehicle after being caught shoplifting and running out of Northgate Mall. A police pursuit followed on to Reagan Hwy and then 75, with speeds up to 90 MPH.

Multiple police departments were involved in the chase and stop sticks were laid down at Tylersville Rd. 

After the vehicle was stopped, three suspects were detained. The driver, Harrington, is charged with felonious assault of an officer for running over his foot. She is also charged with four counts of theft and failure to comply with police. 

There were two passengers of the vehicle that were also involved in the mall theft. Robert C. Dillard, 54, of Dayton is charged with three counts of theft and resisting arrest. Tasha M. Garner, 39, also from Dayton, is charged with four counts of theft.

The officer involved was treated for his foot injury and released at the scene.
