MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) -

Two Franklin, Ohio men are facing aggravated robbery and murder charges after they allegedly beat a teenager and dropped him off at the hospital where he later died.

According to police, two unknown white males in a black pickup truck dropped Dione Payne, 16, of Dayton, Ohio, off at Atrium Hospital in Middletown early Sunday morning.

Payne was listed in critical condition and transferred to Miami Valley Regional Hospital in Dayton. He later died from his injuries.

Following an investigation by Middletown Police, Michael A. Geldrich, 36, and Michael J. Watson, 39, were arrested and charged.

Officers also served a search warrant on Geldrich's Vernon Street home in Franklin, which was confirmed as the location of the beating. The Warren County Crimes Unit is now processing the vehicle and crime scene.

Police say Payne was in Franklin to sell drugs. They believe the pair robbed and beat him to steal his cash and narcotics.

The suspects will be arraigned Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in Warren County via video to Franklin County Municipal Court.
