Man flees after Ft. Wright Speedway robbery

FORT WRIGHT, KY (FOX19) - Police are attempting to identify the suspect in a Speedway armed robbery early Tuesday morning in Fort Wright.

It was reported around 2:20 a.m. at 3395 Madison Pike. According to the police report, a man walked in and pointed a gun at a customer inside the gas station and told him to get on the ground. He then pointed it at the clerk and demanded cash from the register.

Police say the suspect then moved the gun back toward the customer's head and stole money from him before fleeing.

A police K9 unit tracked the man toward the area of Alexandria Drive and possibly a blue, older model Chevrolet Corsica.

The suspect is described as a black male, age 25-30, approximately 5'8''-5'11'' tall with a slim-medium build. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes, dark sunglasses, a black glove with white stripes on his left hand and nothing on the right hand.
