NKU holds Lego Robotics Tournament

NORTHERN KENTUCKY (FOX19) - More than 500 local students participated in the Lego League Robotics Tournament today at NKU.

Teams ages six to fourteen showcased their constructed Lego robots by steering them through a series of obstacles to compete for the winning title.

Fidelity Investments sponsored the event and some employees mentored teams leading up to the competition. Groups from Northern Kentucky schools and organizations were invited to enter the contest.

This year 48 teams were competing, up 15 teams from last year. Those involved say the amount of Lego Robotic tournaments in Kentucky has rapidly grown in the past year.
