Funeral to be held for U.S. Army Staff Sgt.

FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) -

Staff Sgt. Keith Patrick Shea Jr., 26-years-old, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 in Ft. Bragg, NC.

Shea was an active member of the U.S. Army, a member of the Army Airborne and was currently attending Special Forces School. He was also an Infantry member and served two tours of duty, one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.

Shea was a 2006 graduate of Boone County High School in Florence, KY, where he played on the football and baseball team.

He is survived by his parents Keith Shea Sr. and Marynel Shea, sister Nicole (Joshua) Shea- Koors, and his dog Piper. He is also survived by grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Shea's family says he will be remembered for his contagious smile, his carefree personality and his willingness to always help others.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 10, 2013 at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 U.S. 42, Florence, KY 41042.

Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Yellow Ribbon Foundation, 8170 Corporate Park Dr., #145, Cincinnati, OH 45242.
