CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Fifty-three people were on board a Dallas-bound flight that had to make an emergency landing at CVG on Monday evening.
American Eagle flight 3162 departed CVG bound for Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport around 6:45 p.m. on Monday. While in flight, the pilots declared a Level 2 emergency. American Airlines confirms that there was a smoke indication in the cabin.
Officials say they have not found the source of the smoke.
The plane was diverted back to CVG where Aircraft rescue and firefighting were on hand. AARF facilitated the evacuation of the plane and transported all passengers back to the terminal.
The plane landed without incident. No injuries were reported.
