Archdiocese Ordered To Turn Over Documents

Magistrate orders Cincinnati archdiocese to turn over documents

A Greene County magistrate judge has given the Cincinnati archdiocese one month to turn over documents to a lawyer for a man who says he was molested by a priest. Magistrate George Reynolds threatened the church's lawyer with sanctions if he doesn't give attorney Konrad Kircher access to the archdiocese's records.

Kircher says Archbishop Daniel Pilarczyk and other church officials covered up sex abuse allegations against the Reverend Keith Albrecht and other priests. Magistrate Reynolds say internal church documents may show the statute of limitations has not yet run out on that case.

Albrecht is among 14 priests suspended by the archdiocese after sex abuse allegations against them were substantiated.
