SPRING GROVE VILLAGE, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati firefighters were called to an explosion late Wednesday at a hazardous waste treatment and storage facility in Spring Grove Village.
Cincinnati firefighters were dispatched for a fire alarm shortly after 11 p.m. at the Environmental Enterprises Inc., located in the 4600 block of Spring Grove Avenue.
Upon arrival, employees reported an explosion and fire in a flammable liquid storage area. Due to the occupancy of the building, a hazardous material response was called to the scene.
Authorities said the sprinkler system in the facility was able to contain the fire to one barrel. Firefighters were able to extinguish any remaining fire and isolated the barrel.
All employees made it out and no injuries were reported. The Cincinnati Fire Department said no hazardous materials were released and final clean up will be handled by Environmental Enterprises Inc.
