Hamilton Police: Man's hand cut during traffic altercation

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - Hamilton Police arrested a man after they say he severely cut another's man hand during an altercation while both were stopped in traffic Sunday evening.

Police charged David Wesley, 32, of Hamilton, with one count of felonious assault, a second degree felony.

Police said Joseph Miracle of Phillipsburg, Ohio was stopped on the High/Main Street Bridge for a red light at Main and B streets. Miracle yelled at Wesley. Wesley exited his vehicle, approached Miracle who was in his vehicle and the men exchanged words. Wesley then struck at Miracle and badly cut the top of his left hand, severing all of Miracle's tendons.

Wesley then ran back to his vehicle and fled the scene.

The incident happened at approximately 6:50 p.m.
