Monday was the official keg tapping for a new brewing company in the state of Ohio.
New Belgium hit Ohio on Monday, bringing with it a variety of special tastings, tap takeovers and other events throughout the state.
The New Belgium Brewing Company is located in Fort Collins, Colorado. As of 2010, New Belgium was the third largest craft brewery in the United States.
Fat Tire, an amber ale, is the company's most popular beer. However, the Colorado brewery brought several other labels to Ohio as well.
Arnold's Bar and Grill downtown was one of the bars to feature New Belgium on Monday. Santa Clause made a special delivery to Arnold's, towing in a special keg of the beer for the bar's first tasters.
The first 100 people to order one of the new brews got an individually numbered certificate stating they were one of the first to brink a New Belgium in Ohio.
New Belgium beers can now be found in 33 states throughout the United States, including Ohio.
