The folks at "Fear Factor" would love this petting zoo. Cornell University is inviting the public to get acquainted with a wild assortment of tarantulas, dung beetles and scorpions. Not to mention cockroaches, preying mantids and centipedes. The school in Ithaca, New York is preparing for a weekend entomology open house that will feature an "insect petting zoo." Cornell spider specialist Linda Rayor says visitors may be more inclined to pet the large caterpillars than some of the other critters featured in the exhibits. Others may prefer to cheer on big, hissing cockroaches competing in a series of races. Rayor says: "These guys are really fast."
