COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) - More than 2,000 needy people are expected today at the 26th annual Christmas dinner at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington.
The event is hosted by Mental Health America of Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio.
More than 400 volunteers will serve a holiday dinner. Children will visit Santa and Mrs. Claus, receiving toys. Adults will get coats, blankets, scarves, personal care items, vegetables and other items.
Major sponors and contributors are the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, Mental Health America of Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio, Remke Markets, Toys for Tots, Toyota, Master Provisions, The George Fern Co., ScarfIt Up and The Isaac M. Wise Temple.
Meals will be served starting at 11 a.m. The event lasts until 3 p.m.
