ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Three teens are seriously injured following a two-vehicle accident in St. Clair Township, Ohio.

Authorities say that the accident happened around 10 p.m. Thursday night.

Police say that Ashley Spaulding, 17, was driving southbound on Jacksonburg Road, just south of Taylor Road. As she attempted to pass a vehicle, officers say that she apparently lost control and her vehicle began to swerve.

Authorities say that Spaulding's vehicle slid sideways across both lanes of traffic, colliding with a northbound vehicle.

The northbound vehicle was driven by 19-year-old Dalton Williams of Trenton, Ohio.

Spaulding and her passenger, 17-year-old Sierra Lindamood, were both transported by Air Care to UC Medical Center. Officers say that both appeared to be suffering serious injuries.

Williams was transported to Atrium Hospital in Middletown.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
