CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A Georgetown, Kentucky resident celebrated his 10th birthday this weekend in a very special way.
Local Bengals fan Toby Foster, who was diagnosed with mitochondrial disease, recently had the chance to sit in on a Bengals practice game.
FOX19's Denise Johnson reached out to Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vincent Rey to let him know one of their biggest fans would be at their practice.
Johnson asked Rey in a Facebook message if there was anything he could do to make Foster's visit special. Rey replied to Johnson, "I got this."
Toby Foster's mother said he felt like a rock star when Rey walked up to him at the practice and called him by name. Rey, the players and even coach Marvin Lewis took time out of their practice to make him feel special.
The team talked with Foster, took pictures and lined up to autograph his Andy Dalton jersey and hat. Foster also gave coach Lewis a letter to thank him which Johnson says is now hanging in their locker room.
