GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A leader of Upstate Atheists has launched an eBay auction with a church visit going to the highest bidder.

The auction is for president Eve Brannon to go to the church of the highest bid in the auction. As of Thursday afternoon, the auction has raised more than $100. Those hoping to win the auction have until Monday to cast their bid.

As the ad stipulates, "We will attend any church on a Sunday morning. We agree to listen to the sermon and I agree to be acknowledged as a guest."

There are stipulations on where Brannon may attend. If the church is more than 50 miles away, travel and lodging will need to be provided.

"I'm certainly not trying to infiltrate a church," said Brannon. "You know, I'm going with an open mind. I'm going to be as positive as I can. I'm taking my daughter as a learning experience. I don't want anyone to think negatively about it at all."

The auction was relisted to not include Brannon's daughter after she said she received negative comments and messages about the original listing. "I have removed my daughter from this listing in order to guarantee her safety," Brannon said in the description of the new auction.

"I have one viewpoint, you have another," said Greer Pastor Marcus Buckley, who's placed a bid on the auction. "How much can we learn when we sit down in a civil way and have a friendship in spite of our disagreements?"

Brannon said the auction, which was launched on Dec. 31, is meant for charity, with money going to causes the group supports.
