MADISONVILLE, OH (FOX19) - Two children suffered minor injuries while escaping from a residential fire Friday morning in the 4800 block of Simpson Avenue.
The Cincinnati Fire Department said firefighters found a working fire in the front living room area of a two-story home with an attic. Firefighters had the blaze under control in less than five minutes.
The home's occupants -- a mother and four children -- escaped by jumping from a second floor window. No firefighters were hurt.
Damage was estimated at $15,000. The cause is under investigation. The fire department said there did not appear to be any working smoke detectors.
The fire was reported at 10:40 a.m.
All of the family members were transported to a hospital for observation and treatment.
