Mother Convicted In Fire That Killed Son

The Butler County woman accused of setting a fire that killed her infant son will go to jail.  Aimee Leonard, 29, was convicted yesterday on felony counts of involuntary manslaughter and child endangering.  In February, Leonard admitted to setting a shirt on fire after a phone argument with the child's father.  Leonard said she threw the burning shirt toward the front door then ran out the back door, leaving her seven-month-old son asleep in his crib. Leonard had pleaded guilty by reason of insanity.  She could receive three to 15 years in prison.
