AP source: Gruden to meet Wednesday with Redskins

WASHINGTON (AP) - A person familiar with the situation says Jay Gruden will interview with the Washington Redskins on Wednesday.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team does not confirm interviews in advance.

The Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator will become the sixth known candidate to meet with general manager Bruce Allen.

Gruden is a popular name among the five NFL teams without a head coach. He is expected to interview with several teams this week.

Allen has already met with Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, Dallas Cowboys special teams coach Rich Bisaccia, Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott, Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell and New York Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell.

AP Pro Football Writer Dave Campbell in Minneapolis contributed to this report.
