State Route 63 is closed just west of Lebanon due to a gas leak at McClure Road.
The leak was noticed around 11 a.m. and Duke energy has been on the scene working to fix the issue.
County dispatchers do not know of any homes or businesses that are affected by the leak.
Depending on where they are going, people can go around by taking 42 to the southwest or Route 123 to the northwest.
The most direct detour heading west and using larger roads is to take 123, then Greentree Road, then left on 741 to route 63.
Officials did not have an estimate for when the highway will reopen.
