Police: Woman stole checks, credit card from elderly woman

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Colerain Township Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a woman who authorities say stole several checks and a credit card from an elderly woman.

Police say on Dec. 18 an elderly female victim assisted a black female subject at a Speedway in Mount Airy by loaning her $20. During this transaction, the elderly victim left her purse unattended with this unknown female for a short period.

During this time, the unknown female removed several checks and a credit card from the elderly victim's purse. During the week after the incident, the elderly victim's credit card account was charged for nearly $1,500. The credit card was used by a white female at the Speedway located at Pippin Road and West Galbraith Road and the Speedway in Mount Airy.

The suspect was seen as a passenger in a gray Dodge Durango and a small tan sedan on two separate occasions.
