Couple rescued from Milford pond after attempting to save dogs

MILFORD, OH (FOX19) - A couple was rescued from a Milford pond on Monday evening after jumping into the icy waters in an attempt to save their dogs.

Police were called to the 5400 block of Mt. Zion Road around 5:30 p.m. on Monday evening. Crews arriving on the scene say that a husband and wife had jumped into the frigid waters in an attempt to save their three Irish Setters from drowning.

The dogs apparently fell through the pond's thinning ice.
