MASON, OH (FOX19) - Adrenaline-seekers have new cause for celebration, as track work is nearing completion for Kings Island's newest ride, "Banshee."
Crews are expected to install the final pieces by the end of this week. When it's finished, the attraction will hold bragging rights as the longest inverted roller coaster in the world.
Banshee launches riders through 4,124 feet of steel track, with seven inversions and speeds reaching up to 68 mph.
Banshee is one of the most highly anticipated new rides in the world for 2014.
Fans need only wait a little longer, as the $24 million steel roller coaster debuts April 18 for the park's 2014 season.
