Winter operations update: Wednesday morning

Crews have been treating and clearing both residential and primary roads overnight. Extreme cold has made progress very difficult. Refreezing is a major issue for crews and for the roads.
Much work still needs to be done on residential streets. Crews will be focusing on them as much as possible throughout the day today.
Motorists should use extreme caution as they head out the door this morning. Temperatures are dangerously low. Many wet or slushy road surfaces have refrozen, creating some challenging driving conditions.

Trash & recycling collection was delayed by one day due to the observed Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday.
Poor road conditions and trash carts freezing to the ground have caused further collection delays.

City of Cincinnati asks residents to please leave trash carts at the curb until crews are able to collect it this week.
