FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police are investigating a pair of drug thefts from Fairfield Township ambulances.
Authorities from Fairfield Township say that morphine and Valium were stolen from the emergency vehicles just days apart. Officers say that the first theft occurred on January 7 or 8. The second occurred on January 10 or 11.
Officers say that the losses were spotted during routine inventories of ambulance supplies.
Fairfield Police Chief Matthew Fruchey says it appears the suspect has some knowledge of how supplies are stored on an ambulance, possibly from working on one either currently or in the past.
The investigation is ongoing.
