Police searching for suspects in Sycamore Twp. Family Dollar robbery

(FOX19) - On Saturday, January 25, police responded to reports of an aggravated robbery at Sycamore Township.

It happened at 7700 Montgomery Rd at the Family Dollar discount store Saturday evening.

At approximately 8:50 p.m., just before the store was closing, two suspects entered the store.

Both suspects acted as customers until one of the two employees walked toward the rear of the store where one suspect confronted that employee brandishing a large butcher knife.

The suspect forced the employee to the front of the store. The second suspect, also armed with a large butcher knife, then confronted the other employee, forcing that employee to walk around the store with him, acting as nothing was wrong as the other suspect forced the other employee to open the cash register and a cash box.

Both suspects then escorted the two employees to a storage area in the rear of the store before fleeing out the rear door on foot with an undetermined amount of money.

A search of the area by K-9 was unsuccessful. Neither of the store employees were injured in this incident.

The first suspect was described as a light skinned black male, 18-25 years of age, wearing blue jeans, a dark gray hoodie with red and white stripes with the number 83 in large print on the front just below the wording that including the word "Ape", sunglasses and a red and white toboggan style hate.

The second suspect was described as a black male, 18-25 years of age, wearing gray or tan pants, black hooded jacket with white writing on the front and slight facial hair.

This incident remains under investigating by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Section.
