HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) – - Police are searching for a motive after a Saturday night shooting in Hamilton.
Officers were dispatched to 41 Petty Drive, on the west side of Hamilton, to find 20-year-old Zachary Willis with gunshot wounds. According to police, 18-year-old Bryant Adams shot Willis in the stomach two times before fleeing the scene and disposing of his weapon.
Adams was located a short time later and taken in to custody. After questioning by detectives, he was charged with Felonious Assault and Tampering with evidence.
The arrest report states that Adams has gang affiliation and authorities say they have no known motive for the shooting at this time. He will be arraigned Monday morning in the Hamilton County Municipal Court.
Willis is being treated at University Hospital where his condition has not been released.
