Former Oxford school administrator sentenced to 7 years in prison

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

A judge on Tuesday in Butler County Common Pleas Court sentenced a former Oxford school administrator to seven years in prison in connection with sexually oriented material involving minors.

Alfred Allen, 60, of Fairfield Township, will receive credit for time already served and must register as level 2 sex offender.

Allen was the director of the McGuffey Montessori School. He was suspected of misusing the school's debit/credit card back in May. An investigation into the allegation resulted in theft charges.

In the course of the theft investigation, police say they found evidence of child pornography. Allen was taken into custody in September for 20 felony counts related to child pornography.

The school terminated Allen last May.  The school said that Allen was fired because of his failure to perform the duties of head of school. The school also said it was not aware of any criminal activity at the time.

Allen had been an employee at the school for more than three years. The school said that a background check revealed no cause for concern when hiring Allen.
