CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati Police have arrested a third suspect believed to be involved in a Clifton homicide.
Authorities arrested two teens, ages 15 and 16, on Tuesday following two separate shootings on January 20 and 27. The shootings claimed the lives of of William Moritz and Deshawn Hutchinson.
Police say the teens are responsible for a double shooting in Clifton on January 20 that claimed the life of 45-year-old William Moritz.
Officers say that two men were shot in the 3600 block Irving Avenue. Police say that the victims were shot while sitting in their vehicle. The victims drove away from the scene of the crime and were found in their vehicle on Woolper Avenue. Both victims were taken to U.C. Medical Center where Moritz was pronounced dead. The second victim was treated for a gunshot wound and released.
On Wednesday, police also arrested 18-year-old Antonio Ruff. All three are believed to be involved in the shooting if Moritz.
Authorities say that the two unidentified teens are also responsible for a shooting that claimed the life of 35-year-old Deshawn Hutchinson. Police say Hutchinson was shot multiple times in Avondale on January 27.
Officers were called to the 3600 block of Irving Street just after 10:30 p.m. to investigate reports of shots fired. First responders found the victim in the rear of the address suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Hutchinson was pronounced dead upon arrival at U.C. Medical Center.
Following investigation by homicide units, police say both incidents were successfully connected to the same suspects. Detectives signed murder warrants for their arrests.
The teens were arrested on Tuesday. FOX19 will not release the names of the juveniles involved until they are officially tried as adults.
