Happy birthday, Gladys! Happy birthday, Gladys!

The Weather Channel's Jim Cantore knees videobomber

Do not mess with Jim Cantore. The Weather Channel meteorologist was reporting from South Carolina's College of Charleston on Tuesday when someone suddenly rushed into the live shot. He swiftly responded with a knee to the kid's groin. "Obviously, here at the College of Charleston they are already having a good time," the rock star of meteorology responded.

Delta in-flight safety video lands in the 80's

Delta has made an awesome in-flight safety video that you may actually want to watch rather than zone out or read "SkyMall." It is wonderfully 80s, featuring "Alf" learning to use the oxygen mask, neon scrunchies and sweatbands, and some guy doing the worm down the aisle. Delta is now one of several airlines to produce sassy in-flight instructional videos.

Happy 1st birthday, Gladys!

Gladys, the baby Western-Lowland gorilla who captured our hearts when keepers at the Cincinnati Zoo had to step in and hand-raise her, turns one on Wednesday! To celebrate, keepers created a gorilla birthday cake (and she went face first). The zoo got creative and baked a cake using two layers of rice, raisin, banana, sweet potato, and biscuits, topped with pureed banana and sweet potato, and decorated with a variety of fruit, including pomegranates, lemons and grapes.

This year, Gladys is asking for old cell phones to recycle through the Zoo's Project Saving Species program.

Juicy J & twenty one pilots to perform at #ONOfest

The University of Cincinnati's Programs & Activities Council (or PAC) is bringing rapper Juicy J and the Columbus duo twenty one pilots to its spring concert April 5. The lineup was announced Tuesday night. The concert is dubbed One Night Only Fest or #ONOfest for short.

Speaking of, did you hear Bruno Mars is bringing his "Moonshine Jungle World Tour" to U.S. Bank Arena on June 27? He'll be joined here by singer and rapper Aloe Blacc. Tickets will go on sale Feb. 3.
