Morning show crew shows off Super Bowl potluck staples

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

The CBS 5 Morning Show crew is getting ready for Sunday's Super Bowl with their favorite potluck staples for their friends and family.

Check out the favorite dishes of some of our morning crew.

Pat McReynolds' Apple Caramel Crunch Dip

  • Two 8 oz. Whipped Philadelphia Cream Cheese tubs
  • One 16 oz. tub of Old Fashioned Caramel Dip (usually found in the produce aisle)
  • One packet of 6-8 full size Heath Bars
  • 2-3 bags of Granny Smith Apple Slices
  • Spoon out and flatten the whipped cream cheese in a serving dish. Pour the room temperature caramel over the top, covering the cream cheese. Use a hammer to pound out the Heath Bars, and sprinkle them over the top of the caramel. Dip the apple slices in the dip and enjoy.

Nicole's Easy Crock pot Queso

  • Block of Velveeta cheese
  • Block of cream cheese
  • 2 cans of Rotelle diced tomatoes and chilies
  • *I use Crock pot liners so it a no-mess cleanup
  • Cut all the cheese into cubes. Add Rotelle diced tomatoes and chilies to crock pot on high. Mix as it starts to melt then lower heat to keep it warm.

Katie's Shrimp Crackers

  • Crackers
  • Cream cheese
  • Cocktail sauce
  • Shrimp
  • Stack the crackers in that order.

Rachel Fleming's Salsa Verde

  • 1 can green chilies or 4-5 roasted green chilies diced
  • 4-5 diced tomatoes
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1 bunch of cilantro
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Splash of vinegar
  • Pinch of Mexican oregano
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Throw all the ingredients in a blender and puree.

Nadine's Chocolate Chip Football Cookies

  • Chocolate chip dough
  • Chocolate frosting
  • White gel frosting
  • Bake chocolate chip cookies. Cover with chocolate frosting to look like a football. Use white gel frosting and line cookies with laces and outline to look like a football.

Heather Kellenaers' Meatballs

  • 14 oz. can of cranberry jelly
  • 17.5 oz. bottle of BBQ sauce
  • 50 meatballs
  • Mix together in a Crock pot and cook until hot.
