EAST PRICE HILL, OH (FOX19) - Emergency crews were called to a house fire Thursday morning in East Price Hill.
It was reported at about 9:15 a.m. in the 3600 block of West 8th Street. Upon arrival, authorities found a heavy fire in the first floor of a two-family home. Authorities said the fire eventually spread to the second floor.
Firefighters at the scene said a space heater caught the couch on fire. A resident of the home tried to put the fire out himself and received minor burns. No firefighters were injured.
Damage to the building was estimated at $60,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The American Red Cross was called to assist the four adults that were displaced by the fire. The building department was also notified to respond due to the extent of the damage.
