MUHLENBERG CO., KY (WFIE) -

Two life long friends who live in the same community as the Watsons are wanting to use their skills to help out the family.

David Everhart and Duane George both broke down into tears when they heard about the Watsons.

Now the two contractors are working together to try and give Chad and Kylie Watson a home when they get better.

David and Duane have agreed to build a home for the family, free of cost.

It was an idea that Duane posted on Facebook and immediately got a big response from other skilled laborers in the community.

They are still waiting to hear from the family as to where the house will be and some specifications.

They said they were not surprised by the response from the community.

"Every community has their issues," said Duane. "But there's not stronger community that pulls together like we do."

"I wouldn't say it's giving back to anybody," said David. "It's just trying to make the burden of coming back a little less."

Starting Monday, David and Duane will begin receiving donations to begin building the house.
