(FOX19) - This March, Cincinnati local Andrew Gomez will be opening a new Mexican walk-up window called Gomez Salsa, located right in the heart of Over-the-Rhine.
Gomez stopped by FOX19 Morning News to make one of his favorite menu items, the Turtle Shell or what he likes to call, "The Hybrid Burrito."
This delicious menu item is loaded with cheddar jack cheese, rice, beans, sour cream, a full tostada chip, the famous Gomez salsa and so much more.
Gomez first started making the salsa and cooking Mexican food in college to make some extra cash. Now, he's gaining major local attention.
Gomez tells FOX19 this new Mexican restaurant will be based off the famous Gomez salsa recipe handed down from his Abuela.
The idea is simple: You can walk right up to the Gomez Salsa window, grab your food and go!
That's not all, Gomez and his friends are doing all the construction themselves to make sure the place is up and running by the end of March.
This new Over-the-Rhine Mexican spot will be open for lunch, dinner and everyone's favorite, late night! They will also be offering a build-your-own taco bar, catering and late night delivery.
