Suspect arrested in Anderson Twp. bank robbery

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Hamilton County Sheriffs have arrested a 38-year-old man suspected of robbing an Anderson Township bank.

Police arrested Scott Runge on Friday afternoon. Officers made the arrest after releasing a surveillance photo that clearly depicted the suspect's face.

Authorities were called to Key Bank, located in the 8600 block of Beechmont Avenue, just after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. Officers responded to reports of an aggravated robbery.

Police say that the Runge entered the bank and handed the teller a note. The note stated that the suspect was armed and demanded cash from the teller.

Officers say that the suspect received an unknown amount of currency. Police say he fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Deputies and Sharonville K9 units tracked the suspect eastbound. The suspect was not located.

Runge has been charged with aggravated robbery. Police say that the suspect admitted his involvement to detectives.
