Former PNC vice president charged for Anderson Twp. bank robbery

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A former bank executive was arrested on Friday after robbing an Anderson Township bank.

Scott Runge robbed the Key Bank on Beechmont Avenue on Tuesday afternoon. Police say he entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding $3,000 and stating he was armed. He got away with $1,360, fleeing the scene in his Nissan SUV.

Bank surveillance photos clearly depicted Runge's face but authorities have not confirmed that the photos led them to suspect Runge. He was arrested at his Anderson Township home, a house that records show is valued at $375,000.

Runge is a former vice president of Equipment Finance at PNC. At his court appearance on Saturday, his lawyer stated Runge was laid off from that position.

Runge, who is a Fort Mitchell native according to his Facebook profile, admitted to detectives that he was involved in the robbery. He was charged with aggravated robbery and received a $100,000 bond in court on Saturday morning.
