NORTH COLLEGE HILL, OH (FOX19) -

Two 14-year-old brothers involved in the 2012 ‘boredom' beating of a North College Hill man are facing new assault charges.

Six boys are charged with assaulting Pat Mahaney, 45, on Aug. 11, 2012 because they were "bored and looking for something to do." He later died of unrelated causes.

New assault charges were filed on Friday against two twin brother involved. Juvenile Court Administrator Curt Kissinger says the father of one of the alleged victims filed the charges for an assault that allegedly happened Wednesday.

It will be up to the judge Sylvia Hendon, who sentenced the boys on Thursday, what to do about the new charges if they hold up in court. The suspects were given suspended sentences plus ordered into a treatment program on Thursday.
