CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A judge set bond at $5,000 Monday in Hamilton County Municipal Court for former Bengals defensive back Artrell Hawkins Jr. who was arrested Sunday on a domestic violence charge.

Police responded to a possible domestic dispute Sunday at a Springdale home.

Hawkins' wife told police that he had kicked the basement door in and caused her to be scared for her and her children's safety.

In 911 audio, the father of the alleged victim said "her and her husband are getting separated. He has bashed the door down and sliced all the tires on her car. He's threatening to do harm to her and the kids."

Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Cheryl Grant also ordered that Hawkins, 37, of Symmes Township, has to wear an electronic monitoring device on his ankle.
