Local organization working to provide aid for Syrian refugees

(FOX19) -

The Syrian American Foundation is holding a winter drive and is asking for your help.

Everything you donate will be taken to a warehouse in Mason and then shipped directly to refugees in Syria.

A shipment has already been sent and as soon as enough supplies are collected, the next one will be shipped.

During the winter drive, there is a need for new and gently used winter clothing for children and adults.

There is also a need for baby items like blankets, hats, stuffed animals, school supplies and onesies.

There are four drop off locations in the Tri-State:

  • The Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati
  • The Clifton Mosque
  • The Islamic Center of Northern Kentucky
  • The Ihsan in Milford
The foundation will be collecting donations through the end of February. For more information, visit www.syrian-american.org
