Flying Pig Marathon plans events throughout the year

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Flying Pig Marathon is planning races throughout the year in addition to the Flying Pig Marathon weekend.

This year's Flying Pig weekend is May 2-4.

New this year is the IAMS Flying Fur Run. The 2-mile dog/owner run is 1:30 p.m. May 3 near the Purple People Bridge.

Christian Moerlein Beer Series
The Christian Moerlein Beer Series is a three-part road race series that celebrates Cincinnati's beer brewing history and is produced by the Flying Pig Marathon. Those who complete all three races are called Brew Hogs and get special incentives.

*Bockfest 5K: 10 a.m. March 8 from Bockfest Hall in Over-the-Rhine (Moore at East Liberty streets)

* Little Kings Mile: 8 p.m. May 2 from Over-the-Rhine to the Moerlein Lager House, down Main Street

* Hudy 14K & 7K 8 a.m. Sept. 20, from Moerlein Lager House through Over-the-Rhine

*The Queen Bee women's half marathon is produced by the Flying Pig Marathon. The Queen Bee will be run for the first time on Oct. 11 and is focused on increasing participation among women and running/walking.
