WALNUT HILLS (FOX19) - Six people were displaced in a Walnut Hills fire on Friday afternoon, including three children
The fire broke out around 4:45 p.m. Friday afternoon in the 2300 block of Concord Street.
Crews arriving on the scene reported heavy fire coming from the attic of the building with two people trapped on the roof. Firefighters say that both individuals were able to get off of the roof safely via a ladder in the rear of the building.
Following an aggressive interior attack, authorities say they were able to bring the fire under control within 20 minutes.
Fire damage was confined to the roof of the building. However, crews say water damage extends through the entire house. Damage has been estimated at $25 thousand.
The Red Cross has been called to assist three adults and three children displaced in the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
