Damaged transmitter caused thousands of outages in Hamilton Co.

HAMILTON COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - A damaged transmitter caused thousands of outages on Tuesday evening on the westside of Hamilton County.

Reports of the outages first came in around 6 p.m. Over 16,000 outages were reported in Hamilton County by 6:30 p.m., according to Duke Energy's website.

Officials with Duke Energy says the company was re-routing due to a damaged transmitter when the outages occurred.

Duke says power was quickly restored to those affected.
