ST. BERNARD, OH (FOX19) -

Three have been arrested in St. Bernard following a prostitution sting on Wednesday afternoon.

After an extensive investigation, St. Bernard Police obtained a search warrant for illegal activity on 4525 Vine St. With the assistance from other surrounding police agencies, that warrant was executed on February 25, 2014.

"Cars and male traffic were always in and out of the building," said Steve Moeller of the St. Bernard Police Department. "It was always young males and they were in and out of the building and would stay for about a half an hour."

Moeller says the arrests came following an extensive investigation.

"During our investigation we had several officers in unmarked vehicles and it became apparent that every time he left, within five minutes, a male would show up and walk into that apartment," said Moeller.

As a result of the warrant and accompanying undercover operation, three subjects were arrested for various charges including soliciting prostitution, promoting prostitution, endangering children and numerous drug charges.

Police arrested James Smith, 67, Jessica Smith, 22, and Novette Brewer, 24.

The child endangering charge stems from the fact that a 43-day-old baby was present during the warrant as well as most of the activity during the investigation.
