Fundraiser for 3-year-old paralyzed in drunk driving crash

DRY RIDGE, KY (FOX19) -

Friends, family and strangers enjoyed Skyline coneys and 3-ways Wednesday evening in Grant County to benefit a young boy paralyzed after a drunk driving accident last month.

Tyler, 3, was riding in the car with his mother and brother on Jan. 15 when the family was hit head-on by a driver under the influence.

His mother and 10-year-old brother suffered broken bones in the crash. Tyler sustained spinal injuries that have left him paralyzed.

"Team Ty" gathered at the Skyline restaurant in Dry Ridge, Ky. for a fundraiser to support the family of six in medical care costs.

Another fundraising event will be held at Turfway Park in Florence next month with food, raffles, split the pot and a silent auction. The event is scheduled for March 15 from 5 to 10 p.m.
