SPRINGDALE, OH (FOX19) - Springdale Police are attempting to identify a man who allegedly purchased electronics with counterfeit currency.
Authorities say the subject, a black male, first used counterfeit bills at a Springdale Best Buy to purchase a TV and XBox on January 25.
One the same day, the subject reportedly purchased an iPad at the West Chester Walmart with counterfeit currency. The value of the purchases totaled over $1,640.
Police say the money was not determined to be counterfeit until after the suspect left the stores.
